TUROK: SON OF STONE

This series is based on the Gold Key and the later, Valiant (pre-Acclaim version) renditions of Turok.

Turok, the Son of Stone, is a time displaced Kiowa Indian who became lost in a myserious valley that contained dinosaurs! With his young friend, Andar, they explored this Lost Valley for a way home. They searched for many years while battling hostile dinosaurs, hominid tribes, and nature itself. They discovered that the Lost Valley was just one part of the greater Lost Land. Eventually Turok and Andar parted on their separate ways. Andar settled down with a wife and raised a family. Turok kept looking for a way out of this Lost Land.

Turok later was enlisted by Erica Pierce (aka MotherGod) and he fought by her side. He soon realized that he had chosen the wrong side and he aided the army against MotherGod's machinations and he helped defeat her. After a brief reunion with Andar they parted their ways again. In 1987, Turok found himself in the jungles of Columbia. He encountered his old enemy from the Lost Land, Mon-Ark, in the jungles of Columbia. Mon-Ark is a cybernetically enhanced raptor with the cunning and evil intelligence of a man! Turok would face this enemy off and on throughout his time spent in the contemporary world. While in the modern world, Turok did what he did best... he hunted dinosaurs. After a few years, Turok had disappeared once more back into the Lost Land.*

* This is a very brief account of the original Valiant Turok: Dinosaur Hunter series

It is 1998 and Turok has re-appeared in the jungles of Columbia once more. This time, he has been contacted by an agent of a secret US agency called E.R.B. Special Agent Joshua Fireseed needs Turok's aid to help in the search for missing scientists on a remote Pacific island known as Dinosaur Island! Can Turok survive the dangers and ancient evil that awaits him on this small island? Find out in Turok: Son of Stone!
